My fiancé and I were fortunate to learn about Catharine Kurtz Photography through my Facebook news feed. Once I changed my status to engaged, I began to receive a lot of engagement/wedding related advertisements and I was lucky enough to win her contest for a free engagement photo session. We couldn't be more pleased with our experience. Both Catharine and her husband were first class all the way. My fiancé and I had never taken photos professionally together so we both didn't know what to expect. Catharine and her husband were so warm and genuine. They had great suggestions about different poses and gave us guidance throughout the shoot. We felt extremely comfortable with them and ended up having a wonderful afternoon/evening. We took photos at two locations, Balboa Park and near Seaport Village. The photos she took are so vibrant and fun! All the email correspondence that I shared with Catharine during the photo selection and editing process was very detailed and completed in timely manner. I would highly recommend her if you're searching for a seasoned photographer who will do a phenomenal job and take her time with her clients. We are so happy with our photos. Thank you Catharine!

Catharine is a cut above when it comes to photographers! I have a large family and getting a good photo of the group is difficult. I have used many other photographers in the past with mixed results. Catharine is just better because she has a creative eye that so many others do not. Catharine looks for the unusual in family gatherings and captures wonderful and precious moments as well as getting the group to look good.
